Ever since Texas redrew its Congressional map last summer, redistricting and gerrymandering have become part of a national debate. Texas’ decision to redraw its House map in the middle of the decade, which was legal but not the norm, spurred Missouri, California, and Florida (among other states) to redraw their own maps, with both parties hoping to gain more House seats in the process.
