A fiber optic cable manufacturing plant in Jackson says it will create 100 new jobs as part of a $100 million expansion, company and state officials announced Wednesday.

Prysmian, an Italian company with more than 50 locations in North America, opened in Jackson in 2018 after acquiring General Cable.
