The Michigan Democratic Party on Thursday filed a campaign finance complaint against Doug Lloyd, the Michigan Republican Party nominee for Michigan attorney general, alleging that his pre-convention finance report was knowingly both late and inaccurate.

Lloyd’s campaign, however, told Michigan Advance that the Michigan Department of State’s Bureau of Elections provided the campaign with an incorrect deadline, causing the discrepancy.
