U.S. Rep. John James, a Republican congressman from Shelby Township who is the GOP nominee for governor, has selected state Rep. Jay DeBoyer (R-Clay) to serve as his lieutenant governor should he be elected in November.

James made the announcement on Thursday morning, saying that DeBoyer would help him “lead the fight against corruption, fraud, waste, and abuse, protecting core services while fixing what’s broken.”
