COLUMBIA — High school seniors across South Carolina are newly eligible for scholarships enabling them to earn a college degree with little-to-no debt under a partnership approved in the state budget.

An $18.7 million commitment by the Legislature will expand Meeting Street Scholarships to an additional 32 counties, promising low-income students statewide with above-average grades up to $40,000 each toward their college education.
